From conservative treatments of rest and ice for bleeding joints, before the development of plasma and cryoprecipitate infusions to factor concentrates. She then gives an overview of the more recent advances in haemophilia A treatment including non-factor replacement and gene therapy, as well as an overview of the holistic care now provided to patients in haemophilia treatment centres and comprehensive care centres, and the valuable contributions the haemophilia community have made to improving the standard of care in haemophilia A.
